Having a woodshop helps making templetes at time... I cut out three circle discs that fit inside the ring. Th e ring is 10.5 inces dia. . I used 1 inch dom x 3 inch length for the hub. The spokez are 5/16 rod.

Good looking wheels there Duayne! Me like! :kewl:

And you're right - wood rocks when it comes to quick templates. I've got a lot of scrap lumber in the bin in my shop with black tack-weld burns all over it from serving as templates on several projects. A friend was visiting and saw that a few weeks ago and noticed the spots and started calling it "Weldon Fir" - started a whole new kind of tree I think ... :D

Rick, I really got to watch it in my shop, if ya notice the bench i was working on was wood, I work outside mostly because it is more of a woodshop, under that bench is a stack of black walnut waiting to become a dresser for my daughter, but building smokers is something i do at the house, jus gotta watch the sparks,,,,thanks for the comps,,, yeah S1 i did a little work this weekend, just couldnt get FR to post pics, so it never happened till i did,,,,, TQ, I stole the idea from Allen and thought they wood do the little smoker good, i,m pretty happy with them.

Here's a thought DB - with a wood shop like that the next time you make wheels for a cooker try some wooden wagon wheels - Those you could sell for miniature Chuck Wagons ... just sayin... :D

hmmmmm, Chuckwagon, that sounds like something you would prepare food from. I guess i never thought of wagonwheels. i could use the metal ring like i would a spoke wheel. maybe 20 in. diameter. good idea Rick, My wagonwheels are spinnin now. Dont know about artist DC, i blurred the pics on purpose hahaa, thanks for the comp,

Dang DB - that's look great!

So what's your secret to getting on the "nice" list?

I would have bought tickets to see you fit that under the tree ...
