it was an old water tank, and its not galvanized so im hoping it will, just need to figure out the firebox size for it
and a flue size so i can round it up! lol

its 1/4 i believe, the guy i got it from had 2 of them and his was , so i hope this one is as well, wont know till i cut it i guess, i know its heavy for its size

Smokin johnny was only 1/8" and he works fine - course he's a pellet drive too ... :D

That is one sweet rig too Rick. Since the CC isn't acting as the fire box like an RF it seems that thinner metals are fine. That pellet drive is a sweet device for those smaller cooker for sure.


Current Smokers: Backyard RF Offset and Hybrid RF Offset trailer rig with Cowboy cooker and fish fryer, always room for more........

well i removed the plate that was bolted to the bottom, and there is a rubber bladder inside. the tank is 3/16. heres my question, would it be feaseable to make it a vertical, reverse flow, with a firebox, mounted to the bottom?? Or am i just :headwall: :BDHorse:

My tank is 3/16 and I've got it setup as a horizontal RV. Haven't fired it up yet but 3/16 should be fine either way you go..
