Three Reverse flow somkers finished pics by TQ and Tyler

Post by TuscaloosaQ » March 30th, 2013, 7:18 pm

Well here you go they are done and so am I!!!!!

All three together, Tyler built the patio models

Image

this is my favorite cooker to date it has tons of volume and is very versitile

Image

Image

the warmer has a removeable charcoal grate with a ash pan under it for dedicated cooks in the warmer ie you have a verticle cooker too. The charcoal grate can be removed and replaced with another grate.

That is TQ holding the cooker up with 1 finger.... That is perfect tongue weight

Image

Big Red and Tq Red is as happy as a gopher in soft dirt

Image

Image

that cooker will almost hold as much food as a 250 build. I ran it for several hours and the temps were dead up even across cooker. I even took it up to 350 degrees no problem!!!!!

The next pics are of Tylers stuff, dang if he aint teaching me stuff now!!!!! Heck that is a blessing in my opinion!!!!

Tyler was taliking about buying casters but when he saw the price he whipped these up and I mean quick.. I like em

Amazing work, fellers!

They sure are nice lookin!
Were these plans you got here from the site??
What paint did you use for them?
How did you make the wheels?

This makes me want to build one asap!
I hope to have time in the next several weeks to start a pit,
Just haven't figured which one yet.

1. No I did not get plans from the site been a fabricator for many years and keep my eyes peeled. I do reccomend getting plans from the site tho if you have never built a cooker.... as far as that goes even if you have not!!!!!!
2.the wheels are made od 8" pipe and 3/8 rod for the spokes. Tyler made an axel and used tractor pins and eyelets to pin the wheel to axel.
3 The paint is primer: inorganic zinc and top coat high temp paint. I am not going to disclose where I bought it yet for personal reasons..... but I thinks it is going to be the truth!!!

Thanks Ken, Gato, smokeone, alleyrat, Kinda funny on another forum someone was questioning the tongue weight of the trailer... Ignorance is blissful.... I have built trailers for over 30 years I very well know about the 60/40 tongue weight but as in everthing there is a +and- factor to evrything. In the pic I was illustrating after you get to the cooker to the tip point mamma could move the trailer around no problem. Got to work this morning and the buyer was commenting on how good it pulled. It did not surprise me at all Heck I built it that way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Goofy people annoy me!!!!!! :-B :-o =)) =))

TQ,

I really like the one you made the most for my own use, but as others have said you both do really nice work. And I bet "Big Red" is truly happy with that cooker. It doesn't even matter what something like this costs to me. I can spend way too much money on alot of things. But this is something that will be share by many people over the years. I would love to get one of those bumpers for my 2009 F-150 front and back. Maybe Tyler could PM me the info.
