Can I see pics of your adjustable baffle?

Post by Wicked4x4 » May 2nd, 2013, 12:42 am

Getting ready to start going on my smoker again soon, and been contemplating adding an adjustable plate to end of the RF plate to slide in or out to control air flow. I've got a couple ideas on it, but would like to see some pics from you guys on how you did it.
Anybody recommend against this for any reason?

Thanks guys.

One of the very first posts to this site - February 2011 maybe? - Frank did that on a 160 gallon build (I think) so give that a looking at.
As I recall it was a sliding plate under the open end of the BP connected to a screw drive going out the end of the tank and a wheel on the outside end to turn by hand. Good idea since you can use it to find the cooker's sweet spot.... :D

And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy. :D
Current smokers: Egor (trailered RF) and Easybake (tabletop pellet drive)

Sweet, that is in line with what I was thinking. I'll look for that post. Just wanted to see if there were more ideas for it that I've not come across in my searching.

Thanks for the reply.
