Wanted to be able to fit this through a gate so I made a swivel work shelf, more a place to set the tray while loading the smoker

Thanks a bunch S1, Tq, and CRS, i had tried to bring the door into place while it was on, but it was much easier to do on the bench. with the chain and jack it took about 5 minutes to do and fell right into place....I usually have a 4ft. table by the smoker when i am cooking so i figured the swing out shelf would be fine for a tray and then a place for the cooking therms.

Excellent work there DB - Great looking cooker and I love the shelf! :kewl:

Is the shelf motorized? … raises and lowers automatically? … self-cleaning? … simultaneously holds a cookie sheet a beer, two therms, pair of gloves, a clock and a flashlight?

I only ask because I think I've designed that very shelf about a hundred times in my head but I never seem to get it built!

Seriously - Good Job! :D

Thanks Smokethis, the eyebrow, I actually stole the idea from a cool build on here, thought it was a great idea......Thanks Rodcrafter, I actually am pretty happy with this one and would love to keep it over the first one I did, but it has to go to feed the desire to build more....... Thanks a lot CRS, anymore 75 is the perfect temp for me.
