Stack thickness

Post by Smoker1 » July 22nd, 2013, 7:17 pm

Since everything on the cooker calls for a 1/4" thickness does the stack need to be 1/4" as well

I don't think so. I know several people use thin wall exhaust stacks.

Stack thickness

I have some electrical conduit but it may be galvanized. Is that a problem on the stack?

using it for the stack will be fine. the volume of the stack is whats important. the thickness is not a big deal

If you need 5", just head to a Napa that's close to farm land. They carry sticks of 5" and 6" exhaust for tractors. I got some for $10/ft from there.

i used 4" truck exhaust for the stack and 5" for the fb inlet. it was free and works nice. I used rain hats for the dampers. i wasn't sure at first, but they are working out ok so far, and they were also free.

:BDHorse:

I will look around until I can find some stuff, even if it is too thick, I will use it any way. Like Frank said as long as it is the right size thickness doesn't matter. That sounds a bit funny. :rulz:
