Gap between Door and FB

Post by Bart » February 3rd, 2014, 4:38 pm

Hi All

Been working on my FB. Got the sides all welded up and cut the 2 doors and fitted them. They fit real nice into the firebox, but there is very little gap between the edges of the door and the FB. Maybe 1/32" all around. Will this be ok or will I run into issues of the door expanding and binding. Box and doors are all 1/4

Thanks

Cut them down a bit more and trim them out with flat stock like guys do on their CC doors. Then no worries.
