Haha, now thats funny.SoloQue wrote:When those stacks are wide open I can pull a house cat through those FB vents during heat up.
How big is your smoker and stacks?SoloQue wrote:I'm probably the minority here but I use a dual stack set up and there is no issue that I can see with draw. When those stacks are wide open I can pull a house cat through those FB vents during heat up.
I am going with the idea of 3 x 30" stacks, all 3 will have a damper so I can shut them down if needed. That would be right around 110% of the recommended volume. I think going with 2 would just be too tall. Wish me luck! If it doesn't work I will be cutting some weldsSoloQue wrote:Pops is a 250 minus one end bell and 6 inches for the FB attachment. The stacks are 115% of the calculated volume per the pit calculator. I did just what you are planning and I cut the length in half. Basically I played with the diameter so that I ended up with stacks that were tall but short enough that I coud make adjustments as needed. I highly suggest or recommend some sort of baffle or adjustable cap cover for your stacks so you can fine tune the air flow after full heat up is achieved.
Indeed you did.Clover Ridge Smokers wrote:Hey, I think I saw this cooker come true in another thread.
