Frank_Cox , I have to say this is the foot print I wanted my cooker to be on. You sir have my dream cooker. :D I love everything about your setup, when I first started gathering material this is what I envisioned for a comp rig. My wife had other visions and well we know how that pans out. You do very nice work. :D

Thanks k.a.m.! it is just about the right size for a comp cook. I can fit 16- 10 Lb pork butts on her with no problems. keeping 225*F i only hafta put 2, 1/4 splits in every hour or so. thin blue smoke the whole time with a 3-5 degree temp drop across the whole cooker.

I just joined today while I'm doing some Chicken and pork on Edna so I've only read your column so far. I'm currently designing a reverse flow smoker to build next month and I was very interested to see your relationship ratios for dimensions/openings etc. After reading your first 3 installments it looks like they're coming - but when? Gorgeous work on the pics you shared! Thanks - let me know - Rick (Edna's Kid)

And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy. :D

Frank_Cox, very nice job on a very nice build. Thats a sweet setup you have. I really like your warming box damper, very cool idea, might have to "borrow" that one sometime.

So why have an adjustable baffle plate. Isn't it about the same as a damper on the fire box coming into the cooking chamber?

Is that thing supposed to be smoking like that?
