Well I hope nobody accuses me of cheating, but I am having the metal bent into two 3 sided pieces to limit some cutting and welding. Just thought I would try it this time, we will see how it goes. They said it would be Wednesday so hope to start working on it this weekend or the first of next week.
Oh...I am picking up my metal tomorrow and taking it to my buddy's body shop he is going to sandblast it ant the tank and trailer for me since i am helping him cook on Saturday. Pretty good trade out I think.
yes that will help, i have built my entire trailer pit setup with one of those. and trust me, a few things on the trailer weighed in at 400+ lbs before they were added to it haha.
Ok guys this is a slumber question but I want to get this right. I have never used a warming cabinet. Do you recommend a stack for the cc and WC or just one big one in the WC. If I did put two stacks, when cooking with the WC would you close the stack in the cc so the smoke travels through the damper to he WC.
1. I have 2, a stack for each. Because I want to be able to control the temp in each separately. You will also want to put air inlet(s)
in the WC because they can run hotter than you want, this is what it takes to cool it down.
2. Are you going to have an opening from the FB to the WC? If so then you could cook only in the warming cabinet. If not then you would likely need to leave it open to allow the draft to work correctly to operate the WC.
