Looks good. I like that you added the metal outside of where the shelves go. Never know when a rogue chicken wing might try to take a dive down to the abyss below.
Sent from an ambulance.

150ish gal offset reverse flow...only in my dreams for now.
I was thinking that at some point something would fall so I put in the sides to stop that. and yes its a swing set. I have a rack section also but the swing set fits perfect in the canopy. I thought I had taken a pic of the bottom plates. they are slightly angled to the center.
well made more progress today but don't know what will happen the rest of the weekend. I get to staff a rock climbing/rappelling group this weekend with Boy Scouts. It's mounted to the trailer. i added 2 coss members and changed the tongue. I still need to finished the doors and add the work shelf area on the front of the grill. I might have to move the axle as it has NO weight on the tongue.
I think I used that same trailer for Egor. I built the entire rig and left the spring shackles until last so I could position the axle. I put the rig down on the floor with a 2 X 4 across underneath the frame where I thought the axle should be and a bathroom scale under the ball socket at the tongue. I could then move the 2 X 4 forward and back on the floor until I had the tongue weight i needed. 10% of the total rig weight is what I was going for - in Egor's case I set it at 55 pounds. Then just mark the frame where the axle was supposed to be and strip down the rig - doors, grates, etc. to make it lighter and more manageable and weld the shackles where they belong. Reassemble and you've got the right balance. You can move it around actually easier than the 4-wheeled patio version when you are done - AND it's towable……
And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy.
Current smokers: Egor (trailered RF) and Easybake (tabletop pellet drive)
i've been working on it off and on for about a month now. I took Friday off as a vacation day so I spent about 8 hours on it. I need enough time to finish the doors and the intake so I can at least get a fire in it this weekend I have to staff another rock climbing rappelling next weekend all weekend. and then camporee following I'll be smoking butts that weekend. I'll probably be curing the paint by that weekend too.
I will take it to the local truck stop and get a total weight and play the tounge weight by ear. I plan to tow it about 150 miles one way twice a year will be the furthest. I will probably add angle iron on the bottom where the axle goes so I can mount it and then slide to where I want it. The only reason I got the trailer was because I could not get the axle assembly any cheaper.
short update. I ran out of time today but I'm closer than when I started
I still have some pondering to do on the intake. I was going to do hem on the side but due to the curve i did not want ashes or embers to fall on the ground. So I decided to do the door but after I thought about it and I did not want it to wedge itself sliding. but I did run out of time so I get to think on it for a couple of days. I still need to finish the doors and deal with the current paint on it before I repaint it.
