Thanks. I do have a question on the firebox and paint. After then first few cooks, the paint on the firebox only smoked a bit, and it turned from a gloss black to a matte black, or even a very dark grey. Is this normal? I used rustoleum high temp sprayed on. I think it is rated for over 800 degrees.

I highly doubt the firebox got that hot.

Any ideas?

I bet it did and from what I've seen the paint on the FB won't last unless it is insulated

Looks good. And a huge thanks to you and this forum. Couldn't have done it without it!

Side note, you have any plans for a vertical/cabinet backwoods style?

Can't decide to do another tank build or a cabinet type.

Ha. Brutal around here. Starting a new build of a insulated cabinet. Ill start a thread on that whole process. Totally different than the tank RF.
