Looks amazing dude!! :kewl:

Are those drawings done with the welder or just drawn on? I can't quite tell. They look sweet though.

It would look amazing painted black with the beads painted red. Just my opinion

I've thought about painting the bead. Will give some more thought after I get it painted. Sandblast is scheduled for Monday evening.

Thought about painting/filling the flame outline on the rear of CC and above the FB. Worried that the heat would fade it quickly. Anybody use color paint and if so what type?

You might try some engine paint from an auto parts store. It comes in spray cans in several colors and is suposed to withstand up to 1200 degrees.

That would work but I would need more control with the spray. Might could spray in a cup and transfer to air brush.
Just checked on build. They were finishing up on a couple of details and should paint tomorrow. Pick up should be Friday.

Checked on the build and the paint is drying. Will drag her home after work tomorrow......................I was thinking about the art work and maybe painting the welded bead pattern in electric blue. What do you think?

Sounds very cool, I'm guessing the rest is matte black? I would go for a more contrasting colour, like yellow or orange, to stand out a bit more, but that's me. :kewl:

I would go with my gut feeling on the color. I second guessed myself on my pit and I ended up repainting it the color that I originally wanted to.

I don't want it too loud and black and blue together is more suttle. I used a Satin Black on the smoker. I saw on here where someone used and liked it on here so I went with it. The only blue close to electric I found was some 500 degree metalcast that is mainly used for chrome. Don't know if it will have the desired affect on steel.

I see what you're going for & I think that blue will be a nice accent to the smoker, you won't notice it straight away & then when you do it will just kick the workmanship up a notch, I like it! :kewl:

I'm not sure why but they painted the inside of the FB. Do I need to blast that out or just burn it out? Glad they didn't paint the inside of the CC. I will try to put the finishing touches on it soon and get more pics. Still need to get the tail lights on and safety chains. Had a Rick of Pecan delivered this week also.

Looks very cool dude! :kewl:

Personally, I would get rid of the paint inside the FB, it's high temp so burning it off probably won't work(pretty sure that paint will harden with heat, I know the paint I used does), looks like the blaster might be the go.
