You have a ton of work to do with build and fabrication. You then need several (or more) cooks on it to "learn" your pit and, most likely, some more fabrication. Four months would not be considered a lot of time for me with work and family getting in the way. You will have to decide if you have the resources to pull it off.

Ya I've been thinking that I've been over thinking this whole ordeal and think I need to just go basic on my first build and learn on it before I go to fancy crazy.... I'll have these guys draw up my plans later depending on how things go with this first catering gig.. I really do appreciate everyone's advice and hope I haven't anoid to many folks with my obsessive ocd

It is far easier to erase and redraw a line on paper. It takes less time to crumple a piece of paper and start fresh on a new sheet.

Burning metal takes time and money.

Get it right on paper first. You will have more fun and less headaches.

:yth: Definitely take the time to draw it up first. I use CAD (cardboard aided design) for quite a bit of my metalwork.

Learning generally boils down to "Repetition or the avoidance of pain", some people learn by doing, some by watching and some just have to pee on the electric fence.

Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, you are usually right. Henry Ford

I draw mine and try to stick to the plan until finished. Then I begin making changes as the"need" arises.
