Q-view to follow tomorrow, got two whole briskets, 1 pork loin, 4 boneless butts, and 3 bone in butts. Got a big group coming tomorrow for Memorial Day. Should have plenty of leftovers!

Not sure if I butchered these things too much. This is my first attempt at a full briskets. I ended up with two pieces from both briskets, not sure if I was supposed to separate them or not. We'll see how they turn out tomorrow.

Just noticed by looking at my pictures, I had two grades of beef. The standard one was noticeably smaller and less of the round end. I guess that is one lesson learned already.

It sounds like you separated the point from the flat. I've seen a few guys that never cook them as a whole so it'll be fine.

All night cooking is great until the next day. I get so tired I don't even want to play. The GF with an Cyber Q makes it much easier. I get to sleep 4 hours then 2 then wake up and pay attention. But it will be a lot of fun the first time or 2. I hope it all works out right

Using the warming cabinet to pre heat wood.

I have the damper from the cc to the wc wide open, fb to wc fully closed.

Image just filled this basket, it's been eating a basket an hour. I have been waking up hourly to come re stock it.

I hadn't finished my intake vents or fb handles so this is how I am regulating intake. The door is cracked just like this.

the sun is starting to come up now. Happy Memorial Day everyone! Thank you for all military service men and women, those who currently serve, those who have served, and on today those who paid the ultimate price and died for our great country.

I have read a lot of guys saying they have never had a drop come from their drain while cooking, well I am over flowing..... Guess I need a bigger catch. On the other hand, my rf plate design works!

I had never heard of a gravity feed till I joined this forum. I might have to build one of those for the back deck, for smaller loads of meat.

Yeah the GF with a CyberQ is pretty much set-&-forget, so much easier. :kewl:

That thin blue smoke looks purdy, nice looking food too. :D

The butts and shoulders were great, the brisket I have some learning to do, for one I trimmed too much fat, and probably should have pulled and wrapped. It was a bit dry, awesome flavor, just dry.

Well that certainly looks like a successful cook. Congratulations.
