I had wanted to ask the same question about BTUs. Like it was said I read it as an inside joke. Me and friends call each other Earl. It's a long story none of us are named Earl. When we around others that don't know anything about it so it's quite funny because whoever we are calling out of 5 of us Earl the one will actually answer...

the RF smoker is 5 ft long, 22 inch diam, how much space do I need to leave for the baffle plate at the end of smoker?

I make mine the same as the throat but I think that the rule is 5% smaller than the throat to 5% larger than the throat.
