Gonna mount in on the trailer somewhere...

what are you going to do with the $100 bill? It will most likely be mounted, just invisible!

An extra spring on heavy side is common. Those box trucks with crane on one side get an extra spring to level the load out.

I look forward to seeing the duo together over axle.

I use an extra spring on work trucks that are loaded heavier on one side all the time.

Been slow going lately.Did get time to cut and tack some cross braces on the trailer, tacked the top trim for the door and decided to make my own hinges.
I wanted to pay homage to my buddies Hybrid by using some large azz roller chain links, but alas, I'm poor and running out of time.Really wanted to have it ready for the Daytona 500,but that seems a stretch.Hopefully for my neighbors Pisces party on the 5th...
Got my half moon's marked out and found someone with a plasma cutter that'll make the cuts AND weld them together this weekend.More than likely he'll weld the BP in also, when I get it.

Gotta fine tune the hinges yet,but this is what they are.Recycled from the feet of this particular tank.1 was bent,so gonna try to use the ones from the 2nd tank as feet for this one.

Some progress. It's been a slow go so far but I believe I'm 2-3 weeks from getting smoker done.
Then I'll finish the trailer.
Don't know what order pics will be in,so I'll just tell you about all of them.
I got the Turkey Frier/Boiled p-nut propane burner installed.Got the lid and hinges installed, went with CNC machined hinges.Got the top slide out rack made.Because this tank only has 1 weld seam dead center, I was able to make the door opening 52 1/2" wide.
Got the steel cut for BP(2 piece for ease of installation) and FB lid and a few other miscellaneous pieces.
Inside the tank you can see a piece of the 5" square tube that will be cut down for the FB cleanout and will double as my air inlet.

Oops, here's some that were supposed to be posted 1st.
Had a friend with a plasma cutter and welder who cut and welded my FB to the CC.
Also a pic of the steel.1-4'x8' sheet of 1/4" plate steel,2-4'x8' sheets of 3/4"expanded metal for the floor of the trailer, and a 5" id pipe cut at 26".
$350 later,I drop off the 1/4" plate at a machine shop that has a CNC plasma table.Had them cut a BP(2 pieces for ease of installation),2 piece FB lid,a shadow plate I'm probably not going to use,a skid plate for the bottom of the low hanging FB,2 tail light mounts,2 smoke stack covers/discs,a 30"x3 7/8" piece to act as a heat shield where the FB is next to the frame rail(plan on running wires down the frame rail, but FB is a little close in that area) and a 7 1/4" disc to cover the bung holes on the left side.
Oh yeah.Got the door hung and handle installed(thank you Smokerbuilder.com!)
Built the handle out of 1/2" bar bent in a vise, put a Smokerbuilder.com handle on it,but door is a bit heavy, may have to add a counter weight.
Also bought a big ole truck(came with 2 sets of tires) to haul this 5'x10' trailer with 2 grills and a propane burner.
J/K-bought it to goof around in when I'm not Q'nImageImageImageImageImage
