That is an awesome trick I learned from Frank when they came to Florida for a gathering. Putting the next sticks on each side of the fire gets them ready perfect so that ignite instantly when tossed on the coals. No smoke just [emoji91]

Thanks RC and mo4 this what I was wanting to do. Some good ideas I like the removable base and warming the splits next to the fire basket there.
I busy making a pulley counterweight system for my smoker and as soon as I’m finished this is my next project.
