This is an awesome intake design! Do you mind if I use it!? How does it work? I've got a smaller patio build going and been looking for a different fresh air intake design

This isn't my design Buckaroo.I saw it on another cooker and thought the same thing you did. The caps are welded to a piece of 1/2" all thread which runs through a nut welded on a plate that is welded on the inside of the pipe. Just screw it in or out according to the desired intake.

You are doing nice work, I was wondering is there a way to clean ash out of the fire box? I only say that because the door is so far from the bottom and looks small in the picture. Over all this is going to be a nice rig.

Current Smokers: Backyard RF Offset and Hybrid RF Offset trailer rig with Cowboy cooker and fish fryer, always room for more........

My plan is to cut a space for an ash pan that can also be used as an extra vent if needed.

Looking good. I'm still a couple of weeks away from getting back to my build. Just too many other commitments this time of year.

I learned over time to not to keep anything from my wife... The first wife cost me a TON of $$$. Got married again about 10 years ago and keep everything on the up and up with this one. Didn't realize life could be so good.

Due to these life lessons, I'm naming my new cooker " Second Chance"

Thanks guys. My Dad told me years ago " don't buy what you can build ". Thats where the latches come from. Studying the ones I've seen.
