Last Chance To Tell Me What You Think!

Post by J.R.'s Butt Hutt » June 12th, 2013, 3:45 pm

Take a look at my crude drawings (click the pics and they will enlarge)and tell me if you you think they will work! The following is a little extra info for your mental calculations.
Tank: 400gal Boiler tank 1/4" thick wall
Firebox: 26" dia steel pipe 3/8" thick wall 72" long. By the pit calculator, the firebox is at 113% not taking into account for the flat firebox top.
Warming box: roughly 66"wide x 36" tall x 18" to 24" deep, 3/16" deck plate
Firebox opening with damper 6" x 50" (square inches per calculator)
Tuning plates/ RF plate/charcoal tray: 6" x 1" x 1/4" formed channel can be clamped together to form RF plate that can double as a charcoal tray for grilling, or loosened up and spread apart for tuning plates.
Air Intake: 4 separate 3 5/8" draft knobs
Smoke Stacks: (2) 5 inch dia, 48inch high, one on each end of the cook chamber

Let me hear what you think!

:LG:

I think it will cook nice and as long as you put controls on stacks you could cook small or large amounts. Go for it and don't forget the pics.

It definitely will cook some meat. Hard to tell from the drawing, but watch the weight distribution on the trailer.

Should be a nice cooker.

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.
