How to attach round fire box to propane tank?

Post by REPO » April 26th, 2016, 3:36 pm

Ok, after reading and reading, I was wondering how you guys are figuring out the cut to make to attach a round fire box (small propane tank) to the end of the main smoker body. (Large propane tank) It looks to me like it would end up being a weird oval shaped hole. I want to mount the small tank perpindicular to the large tank. (90 Degrees) A guy only has one chance to do it right, I want to be 100% sure I know what I am doing!

I prefer to cut the bell off both tanks, weld flat plate to them, then it is easier to cut the throat opening in that plate round to round will look like a foot ball. (American football)
