60x24 RF Build

Post by SOILhunter » April 14th, 2018, 5:51 pm

Hey guys, long time no post for me but starting a new build, I figured I better share some pics! Since “Mack” is such a big hit I figured I better go for the same design, just a little bigger. 60x24x24 cook chamber with a 36x24x24 WC. I cut everything I could last night on the plasma table and threw it together this morning, 4 hours into the build so far minus the cutting.

Very nice.

Got to spend a couple more hours on the build this evening. Insulation and inner walls of the firebox are in as well as all of the angle for the doors. Overall I think it’s comong along pretty well, one of the easiest cookers I have built.

What is a ball part figure on the steel for this build? I am getting a quote on material for a Mack build. I know steel prices may have increased since you got your material but just wondering for comparison.

Mine is a little bigger than Mack but mainly just increases the length a little. Ive used up almost every bit of 2 5x10s and part of a 4x8, I should be able to get the doors from the rest of the 4x8, I hope. The 4x8 I already had on hand but the 2 5x10s were $764 total.

Thanks guys, haven’t had much time for the build lately with turkey season going on here but should be able to get back to it soon!

Was able to work on the build for a few hours today. I was able to get the trailer up enough to be able to move this little guy around...not leaving at that height I just ran out of time again! Also got all of the racks cut so I can throw them together after work one day.

I can’t add the last pic for some reason, keep getting an error, sorry guys
