Cabinet Smoker vertical as Reverse Flow

Post by LeonardK » July 18th, 2019, 6:29 pm

Wanting more rack space to smoke, I have a big box to cut down to Mini GF size and some steel pre-cut for another rev flo firebox.

Just feeling like doing something with what I already have and I know I like smoke flavor from wood, instead of putting a GF furnace on this box just put the other firebox on the bottom to save space and configure as Rev Flow but in a cabinet.

This smoker should give me much quicker recovery after opening the door because the burn box is 1/20th of the CC and not 1/80th like with the GFs

AND should give me close to consistent temperatures from top to bottom and 9 sq feet rack space

Much more is in the picture I had planned for a GF and just gave it a large throat because I can close it down but enlarging it cannot be done easily

That's the rev flo FB scaled into dwg from my other smoker

How good do you think this will work?
