Dummy needs assistance on CF

Post by SmokinFF » March 22nd, 2020, 10:28 am

Hey fellas, I’m in the works of gathering materials to build a trailer mounted CF. With some of the stuff I already have and estimating tank size of the tank I bought but haven’t seen, I’m seeing my FB will be 85%. Will this even work or do I need to come up with a different game plan?

I can build the drums with success, but I’m trying to put my big boy pants on now. Lol

Any help is appreciated.

Make sure the fire box is 100-115% of what you need.

An undersized firebox will give you nothing but headaches. We always recommend you build a firebox out of plate so you can get it the proper size as well as easier access to loading logs.

I figured that would be the case. I’ll know more once I pick this tank up. Thanks fellas

A CF is typically more efficient so it may work as long as it's directly attached to the CC
