i was able to put some work in on this thing today. i added the stacks and the lid stop i wanted to build them into the hinge but i like the look of the chain.

Don't worry Ben - eventually everything east of the San Andreas fault will slide into the Atlantic ocean and we won't be around to worry about them ... :D

I'm just patiently waiting on the global warming to raise Gulf levels so I can have beach front property here in Birmingham or at least a shorter drive. :-bd
