DO NOT adjust your computers - there are professionals already on the scene to deal with this issue and you should be returned to the regularly scheduled programming momentarily ...

And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy. :D

You guys get the kinks all worked out regarding the website payment process. When I get all legal and such I will come a callin for tech support, I start my talks with a packer next week. I can barter with sauce, rub or apple pie maybe even an offical Irv's Smokehouse Sauce-Head T-Shirt (coming soon to a website near you). Ummm ... the wife has just infomed me that I will NOT be offering anything else for barter :BDHorse: geeesh she is so paranoid :D

Sounds great Frank ... it's baby steps right now but I seem to be creeping towards the deep end of the pool.
Eventually I'll either jump or fall in. :D

Well the good part is that I am already mailing sauce and rub to Pheonix, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin and Illinois. Hopefully once folks can order their own then word of mouth will take off in those areas. The true kicker is that once I go legit my wife will quick worrying so much since I will then have the whole package including insurance. Love her to death, I even wonder at times why she ever hooked up with me but wow can the woman worry. The local packer seems to be willing to work with me regarding batch sizes since I am bringing three flavors to the table. In his words I can save a lot of money and just pay him 3K up front to not make the sauce. Evidently he has seen quite a few come and go over the years. But he aint never tasted the Smokehouse!

So he is saying you would be cheaper to give him the $3k and not make sauce rather than the amount of $ you would lose in trying to sell it?
Then how does the industry keep coming up with new sauce all the time? I think you should enter a couple sauce comps first then we will all work together in getting you on the map eh?

When I go legit, I'll send out sauce care packages to the crew here. Just have some folks over and try my stuff on whatever y'all decide to cook that night, word of mouth will take over from there. I'm gonna have to charge some serious shipping to Australia though :D

I wonder how many BBQ sauces are marketed down under anyways?

OK this seems to have gone dead in the water, but I am in the market for some pre made rub from the land that know how to make it, so SQ what do you have and can it be sent in plastic bags or plastic jars, rather than glass jars, I do owe you big time for those sauces :ymhug: ...so mate let me know .

Mac, I actually have a decent BBQ rub (SmokeHouse Dust) that I use religiously on pork and chicken. I recently put the finishing touches on a beef rub (Steak Shake) was gonna call it Udder Bliss but realized that was really infringing on Dink's Udder Madness. I'll gladly set you up with either or both since I am always looking for some honest feedback. Ya never know, there might come a day when I expand to Down Under and this way I'll have a foothold. You just re-imburse the freight and I'll hook ya up. I think that southbound turtle still runs a route that way. :kewl:

OK, so I checked through my stock of rubs and bagged up some samples for ya Mac. I finally got them off to the post office today, I think the drug dog might be in rehab for a few days if he gets a muzzle full of those spices. Assuming the weather remains good and the turtle stays sober you should have some baggies of SmokeHouse BBQ Dust and Beef Prime Rub in about 10 days. I included a recipe for Irv's SmokeHouse Bar Wings just to get you started. :kewl:
As always I appreciate any and all feedback.
