Thanks DC! ….. I think.

ElGato they would have gone about 1:15 or so but she peaked out before that.

I got distracted. It peaked at 162 this morning - not too surprised.
So I took her back in the shop and did some "tuning". Took most of the day.

Just finished another burn late this afternoon and it now peaks out at 255. \:D/

THAT's a temp I can use. But I have a meeting tonight so gotta go in a minute.

Now I'm gonna strip her down and start grinding, polishing etc. to get her painted….. :D

255 is a very workable temp. Can't wait to see this little beauty in action.

I'll be smarter after a longer burn but I hope once the base of hot coals is established maybe I can add 4 briquettes/hour and average around 225 including a few door open cycles from cooking :-B

….. so a 20# bag of briquettes should be a season's supply…… IF you're happy cooking 1 cheeseburger at a time …. :D

:help: Some of you cooks out there - throw me a guesstamate of cook time (medium/medium/rare) on a 1/3rd pound 80/20 beef patty at about 225. I've never cooked one that slow - always grilled them before….. :-B

I'm thinking low and slow isn't the way to do a burger. I like mine with some char on them.

Looks like we got a test for the gathering, how long to cook a burger on a mini.
