Building this...

Post by Grabber70Mach » April 16th, 2015, 9:59 am

Didn't know where to post this so here it is, please feel free to move it if it needs to be. I have a char-grill Kamado that I am looking to make a rotisserie for similar to this.......

I want to insulate the inside of the ring. What would be recommended? Really don't need a lot, so if anyone has some leftovers laying around let me know what you would want for it. Thanks.

I'm ceramic wool would be as good as any. The hesitation may be coming from who has some to send you.

Thanks, maybe I worded it wrong. Wasn't really asking for a handout, mainly what to use and where to get some from. Thanks for a nudge in the right direction.

The lid still closes after this is in place???

Personally I'd go with the "chicken sitter", in the ceramic grill I wouldn't see the benefit of a rotisserie. I use the sitter and the chicken cooks evenly. Its also easier when doing 2-3 chooks, you can't fit more than one rotisserie.

Have one, but Thanks for the idea.
Just want to try this style of cooking some different meats. Self basting and flame kissed adds a different flavor profile to meats.
