Cnc metal name plates ?

Post by Puff » December 27th, 2014, 10:17 pm

Spent a few moments looking for someone to cnc cut a few 6-12 " metal name plates for the smokers I have built. I have seen a few on the builds here but can't seem to find a place to do it. The ones I've found sell made up stuff. Can anyone shed some light on this?

We have a place called metal by the foot. They sell most anything by the foot, they also do cnc plasma. Maybe there is something like that close to you.

One of these days I will buy myself a plasma table then I could cut and ship. Doesn't help us much now tho.

Looking for something like 18-22 gauge? Just for a decorative tag to put on the smoker doors

I would think almost any local machine shop could make it for you.

I'll check tomorrow. Thanks! I would have thought it was an easy thing to find but every web site sells more artsy stuff for way too much money

I was thinking the local high school metal shop would do it for you as long as you provided sketches. My neighbors daughter has a metal class. I'll ask her if they do stuff like that.
