Angled legs

Post by MedicMike » March 25th, 2021, 7:13 am

I have noticed some people will angle the legs of their smokers so the bottom of the legs are wider than the top. Now I know there is no set/required/specific angle to these legs but what would be a good angle to mount those?

I'm not the best with angles but I would guess around 15 degrees

Mainly for looks. Up to you really. Just make sure it’s stable.

Making them wider at the bottom just makes them easier to trip over when you are carrying a full tray of ribs.

Mine was out of necessity, the CC is only 14" diameter. Straight down legs would have made it a bit wibbly.

I never trip over mine as I walk straight to the middle, I'm not a crab. :D

You can never have too many hammers.

Let me correct my earlier post. After "trying" a portractor along a deer feeder if you don't want to worry about long pipe legs and risk tripping over them try around 130 degrees. Like I mentioned before I'm not the best at angles
