Smoker build progress

First few hours of work and first time holding a weldertorch :-)

We choose to cut open the cylinder and release some tension.

That’s awesome! I cut the pipe for my next build a bit ago but haven’t welded in the spacer. Mine sprung just under 2”. Looks like yours is the same. I don’t have room in the shop to work further on it till I finish the two pits I have going now so I’m eager to see how your doors cut. Looks great!

Ends are on and door is out :)
No major disvorming as far as I can see.

Firebox ended up on the left of the bbq instead of the right by accident, hahaha…….maybe I’ll change that around??

Oh man! Is that the fire grate? Are you putting vents underneath? Can’t wait to see. Very interesting.

I see wheels, are you planning on moving that thing around much? It looks like it's going to weigh a ton.

Hey Hoga, yes wheels….not a good idea?
I’ll put smaller wheels on the front legs also, drawing doesn’t show that.

Yep, no wheels on the front is what I was looking at.

Steel wheels are hard to move on just about anything but smooth concrete.

Steel is more stubborn then my kids……but we got it to fit!

The outside corners are much harder to weld then the inside ones…….
