Outstanding mate. I wish I had a buddy like you. [emoji3]
But seriously, that is an amazing cooker you’ve created there. Well done.

Thx Andy. Appreciate it. My buddy got me into smoking. All this is his fault. So I gotta pay it forward. And because of this build, I’ve got a someone else paying me to build them one. Third build coming up!!

Thanks Shearman23. Really learned a lot building this. Got great input too from the kids on that submarine hatch for the FB.

Wow just finished reading this whole thread. What an awesome rig! Your buddy must love you man! Lol I would have had a hard time parting with it. :) I am having trouble deciding which direction I want to go. Standard offset or reverse flow. I do love "idiot proof" but also think sometimes the best results come from learning to properly use a more complicated but superior tool. I welcome any and all feedback guys! And again incredible build sir! :)

Thanks Bryan. I really have a lot of fun building these. I owe by buddy a lot.
So, idiot proof is still relative. An RF still requires a lot of attention and tweaking to run right. It just responds more reliably and more evenly. It’s a lot of work building one. It would suck to not enjoy running it. Of course, you could always sell it and build a different one! That seems to be my preference.

That guy was a frequent poster on here, but unfortunately, he passed away recently. He is missed.
