Tools you forgot about

Post by SheffSmoker » March 3rd, 2022, 7:07 am

I'm an idiot sometimes. I was driling the holes for the grease drain which is 28mm pipe using a 24mm holesaw, nearest size I had without going too big.

Whilst having a think about how I wasn't looking forward to enlarging the holes with a sanding drum in the dremel, having a coffee and gazing round the workshop I clapped eyes on it.

A 4-30mm step drill. :headwall:

A few choice swear words and a bunch of seconds with the drill later, the pipe is a snug fit. I'd forgotten all about the big momma step drill I bought last year.

You can never have too many hammers.

Lol I think we've all been there before. So many times I'll buy a tool for a specific project and completely forget that I own it because it's be a couple years before I need it again. I've even bought a tool a couple times not recalling I already had one. My wife enjoys it when that happens.

Lol...some would say we have too many tools when we can't keep proper inventory.

I tell them that's not possible!

100% in agreement. It just means we need more projects.
