do yourself a favor and get a larger than 20cf tank. 80cf is a nice size, not too large and un-manageable, can still carry it around and fits on the small carts too.

the labor of filling is the expensive part, not the gas itself. so filling a 20, 40, 80 or even 100 cf tank is not a huge difference in cost...the difference will be the 4 times you fill the small tank and run out during projects where you could have kept on welding with the 80 cf.

craigslist is definitely the place to score tanks. i just picked up 2 40cf's for $50 and when i filled one, the local weld/gas shop let me trade up in size for like $30 extra or so.
