Hinges

I have a question about hinges. I'm going to start my build 48"x24" rf pretty a soon an just trying to finalize my build the door will be 3' how many and what size hinges should I use. The fire box will be 20 1/2 x18 1\2 just trying to get some ideas I see all kind of hinges I like the barrel look for my build

Does anyone have good pics of how to attack the barrel hinges to the flang attacked to the door or have good advice on the installation not to screw it up

First don't attack it!!! It depends on which hinges your talking about....I think....

They a Weld on hinges they are round with a point 4" long

The ones at Smokerbuilder have a little wedge made on them. They weld real nice on cookers. Just make sure one wedge points each way.

How does the flang that u put around the door doesn't bind I have the king smokerbuild has does any one have pics I can see or is there a person that has posted this topic I couldn't find

I'm trying to figure out when I weld the hinges to the strip then to the door does it not bind when I open the door. Just trying to run the build thru my head before I start cutting on the pipe I have never built a smoker before I have a set of plans from smoker build and it doesn't explain how to attach all that with out a gap or it binding

Oh! if you bought plans you have my phone number! call me anytime! but to answer your question, there are 2 straps at the top of the door. 1 on the door and 1 on the tank. the hinge is welded in the gap between the 2. there are many ways to attach your hinge. that is just one of them....

Thanks frank that will work to barrel hinges as well if u have other pics that would be very much appreciated
