I would say that's definitely a game changer!! I can't wait to see how you eliminated the tubing.

Wow that is amazing. Apart from the fact that us fellers on the other side of the world will not be able to take advantage of it... easily.
So no tubing. I had been mulling over in my mind for some time now about using angle instead of tubing on a GF. In my head I had worked it out. But with the two mini's and the Mack still in the queue, that was about as far as that idea got.
So what kind of costing are we talking about Frank? For a DP kit.

Well I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on Mack stuff, and then decided maybe just buy one. Almost bought a big LoneStarGrillz smoker.

I will definitely wait for this though. That’s awesome.

Frank, I'm quite sure that I'm not alone... PICS! or it didn't happen!

Well, technically it has not happened yet. :D
But I'm with you on this one, I'd like to see more detail and at least a pic or two. I think Frank did mention that the first three units would be ready around early September. So surely there must be a prototype ready for pics and explanation?

hahaha! Sorry fellers!! :oopssign:

SHHHHH!!!! Don't tell anyone yet, but....

Well, we will have the first 3 units ready to assemble by September 6th....
what are they you say? well, ok, I'll leak the info for ya...

Let's just say this has been a marathon race to say the least! Getting this idea put into reality has taken an incredible amount of time and dedication lol...

here ya go...
We have taken the Gravity Feed DoublePan™ SmokerPlans and made them into a complete kit... YEP you heard me right... COMPLETE Kit!
Every screw, nut, bolt, fastener, fabricated part, gasket, insulation.... ALL of it... On a pallet shipped to your door!!
All you will need to do is unpack it, weld certain parts of it together, then screw or weld the rest of it together, then paint and assemble!!

estimated "ready for paint" assembly time is 2 maybe 3 days max!

SERIOUSLY, every single part is ready to assemble. every screw hole is pre-drilled.
screw holes can be plug welded also for those that dont like screws.
No more tubing!!! All Laser cut and formed. production ready!!

As far as the price goes, I will need to keep my lips sealed for a few more days but it will be shockingly affordable! :peek:
Frank, depending on what the price is, I might be interested in buying 2. C'mon give up the details!

I've been holding out for the new plans for the double pan. I am a little confused about the new announcement. Will this new set of plans be a bolt together assembly or a welded assembly. I am excited about not having to go get my metal cut and just having it arrive on a pallet. I feel like a kid waiting on my father to set up my Christmas gifts. "WHEN"

He said first one they will probably do a build thread. I too am excited to get the details. Depending on cost I may build before my mini if they hit the market before I get my steel. He did say some welding.

Yep, there will be both welding and optional screw together parts that can also be welded on. all interior parts are fully welded.
The plan so far is to do the build on the weekend of the 8th. We will do a full build thread here on the site and will also be making a video available fairly quick.
this is gonna be fun!!!

Looking forward to it Frank. I for one do appreciate all the hard work you fellers put in to plan, test, video and document the smoker builds. :kewl: :points:

Hey buddy, actually the first 3 kits are already spoken for so we can do the final assembly and packaging completion. Should be ready for ordering right after you see the thread on the site.

How did 3 someones beat me to the punch? I've been talking to you about the kit for almost 2 months lol.

Well damn, I wish you would have said something about them being spoken for when we messaged. I was really needing the space that the cooker would offer for a two vendor events I have at the end of Sept and mid-October. Guess I need to start figuring something else out.

So far, none on the price. Hopefully it is not going to be like Rolls Royce.... if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it. :D

No word on price, still waiting for official release date and all the pictures we have been promised. There is a "teaser thread" somewhere close to the top off gf section.
