The end seems so far away.

Inside was a 6 hour haul of welding.ImageImage

It will last longer than the pain it took to build it.

Question
The 2" ball valves I have seen effectively only have about a 1" opening inside them because of the ball. Is this normal?

I also ordered stainless ball valves but I don't see full bore mentioned. Is it going to matter if I'm using a cyberq?

It pry wont matter, the CFM from the fan will keep the fire stoked, If in doubt go with the pit bull fan you can always choke it down if need be

I would ld go with the pitbull fan. I have both and the recovery is faster with the larger fan.

Looks at a piece of meat and wonders how many ways can I smoke that.

My experience with the pit bull fans and the cyber q is the unit controls the fan speed as well as on and off. It really is a sweet setup.

I recommend the Heatermeter. It controls a fan (speed or on/off or anything in between) and a Damper (servo controlled).

I will be checking it out. How is your damper installed?

Damper and Fan are 1 unit, and attached with a DigiQ 2" ball valve adapter ... https://bbqguru.com/storenav?CategoryId=2&ProductId=19

only difference is, it fits over the DigiQ piece, and not inside, so it gives a bit more cross-sectional area for the Damper to work. Here's a pic of the fan/damper unit I designed for my heatermeter, but am using a larger version with a 15 CFM fan.

http://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalo ... eat-ultra/

How many cans do you think I will need for my DP?
Has anyone else used this? If so how is the finish?

How many coats should I apply?
