Forgotten detail

Post by Weldun » August 24th, 2017, 7:41 pm

I finished my mini a year ago and have been having fun with it ever since, although I tried to share as many details of my build along the way and my experiences building it I forgot to mention a detail that I felt saved some work. Rather than skin the door opening face with strips and having to weld and grind I split the upper and lower horizontal tubes at the firebox/charcoal chute enclosure and offset it the thickness of the skin so the tubing ended up flush with the skin. Just thought I'd share.

Excellent tip... thanks

Great idea. Did this affect the interior skins much?
