Not sure if you're planning on adding a shelf under your smoker inside your smoker legs but by doing so it bridges the legs together taking away any worries of leg failure, I did this on mine and find the added storage space very useful. Nice work and keep at it bud!

Shelf also provides a nice place to put a pan to catch the grease from the ball valve.

Yes I considered adding the rack to the base of the legs and have incorporated that feature...
The newest pictures in which I have not taken yet shows the additional rack/frame...
