I am a web developer.... Not a welder. So this is not about building a grill myself.... I think it's an awesome hobby or profession, just not something I have the skills or tools to do currently.
That being said.... I love to smoke and grill food. I am also frequently short on time and so the convenience of a gas grill often wins over my charcoal.
In the computer world, I use Macs, PCs, Linux, you name it... So I like variety. Having a great gas grill is a welcomed and frequently used part of my BBQ Repertoire.
Currently my favorite gas grill is a Holland Grill... Here's some info on it, there's plenty more out there on youtube and their website... Www.hollandgrill.com
My model is the wrangler... Its the best value in my opinion since it has the shutoff valve on the drip tray so you can steam and the smoke tray so you can smoke with it.
I am very happy with it so far.... I've made great tasting food from every category on it. From poultry to pork, from blackberry cobbler to bruschetta.
My biggest fear when purchasing this grill were the reviews talking about the hundreds of different types of food you could make an even bake... I was afraid it may be able to cook lots of different things but not really make any one thing very well. I was wrong. It does everything very well.
This is my current 2012 top choice for a gas grill.
