PIZZAOVEN on a trailer

Post by Tospy » June 15th, 2022, 1:34 pm

Hi guys,
After I made a Braai/ grill station with a small pizza oven for a cliënt, I decided to go for a real brick oven.

Designed the outer dome in fusion360, cut all pieces with my plasma cnc and hoped my old sheet roller would be nice for me.

After preassambling the shell, it is time to do the base, building up the inner shell, insulation and mounting the outer shell. Next step is to add clay grid for more insulation

Today was paintjob day and making a deck for the trailer. The aluminium shelf is temporary untill the stainless steel is delivered. The wood I used is padouk, a leftover from a larger decking project 2 years ago. Things are coming together finaly. I hope to meet the finishline somewhere tomorrow....fingers crossed

Didn't meet the finish line, but its pretty close now.

Today I added the taillights, reflectors and support beams on the trailer. Ofcourse a steeled.be sticker couldn't be missed. After all that, I installed a snapper to fix the shelve in closed position.

And then finaly, it was time to align alle the drilled holes and put the oven in place. Between the oven and the deck , I installed a rubber mat to reduce vibration.

That looks great.

I'm wondering if you are going to make a shelf that you can slide up to the oven opening to facilitate sliding pots and pans into and out of your oven. If you're strictly a pizza cooker it's not needed........I cook everything but pizza it seems and being able to slide stuff in and out of the oven was a must for mine.

@towtruck ....this oven will mainly be used as a piezaoven. A good tip from you though and will consider that to add in the near future.

For now... this baby is done and ready to deliver😊

Next week I will cook some pizza and post some pics
