Suggestions for a LARGE Industrial dishwasher?

Post by mmeagher55 » July 18th, 2017, 5:48 pm

My buddy has access to buy an industrial-sized dishwasher for $100. The whole thing is stainless steel. The dimensions are 7.5 feet X 4 feet X 4 feet with a full size walk in door. We are trying to figure out if this is too large to make into a good smoker? Where would you put the FB? Should we put a rotisserie inside? I don't have any idea on how much it weighs, but it is insulated.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Ok well welcome to the crew!

Just for the record. I don't know if anyone on this forum would say there is a "too big" for a smoker.

But it sure has possibly.

LOL! I KNOW. The thought of making it into a rotisserie GF smoker is making my mouth water! Not sure I am up to the task of figuring out how to build it and the FB size to keep the temp up. Would you do a gas assist like the Ole Hickory or other commercial smokers? I'm dreaming of hanging a couple of pounds of homemade sausage, and, oh, maybe a whole hog or two at a time! Ha, ha!

As BigT said... a smokehouse.
That has the potential to be an awesome GF smokehouse.
