Next up -- grill cooking frame, cantilever beam and winch mount. Also ordered a couple of toggle clamps to tighten smoker door at temperature.

Nice, coming along. It'll be good to see it all come together.

Yep, you are one of us for sure. That sorta stuff is going to secure you a seat at the table with the rest of us. You know normal people buy there outdoor cooking stuff at Walmart. It takes a creative mind and hard work to make exceptional cooking stuff.

That is awesome.

Not only can you raise and lower the fire grate, but you can also raise and lower the cooking grate for the ultimate adjust-ability.:points:

I like it.

Phase 2 is now complete! Thanks to all for your encouragement and advice along the way this summer. Phase 3 is electric and electronics. Still need a place to plug in a rotisserie and a blender! Need to upgrade iGrill to Fireboard Extreme. Here are pictures of Santa Maria Grill side complete! No stinkin' wheel required when you have a 1350 lb hoist on-board!

This past Friday my son came home from college with his room mate so we decided to configure the cooker for doing pizzas over propane. (Credit goes to Pete Mazz for the idea). I slide in the the insulated ceiling and firebrick tray and preheated for about 30 minutes. Door warped open a bit at the bottom but cooker more than held it's temp! We did 12 of these pizzas. I started out cooking them for 4 minutes but by the last third of the cook they were coming out in 2 minutes!

After only 3 minutes (and 4 bites!)
