VR6 smoker

Post by SmokyJon » July 12th, 2013, 9:20 pm

So I have this 1982 VW Vanagon. It's the big brick that everyone dreads getting stuck behind. ESPECIALLY in hilly areas. VW was thoughtless enough to put in a 2 liter aircooled pancake motor in it. Well, I have had this thing since 1986. I've gone through several of those engines. I was ready for a change. The ex wife borrowed my 2002 jetta when it was about 4 years old. had a little over 30k on the odometer. She demolished it AND lived to torment me another day......
I took that little aircooled motor out and put in the VR6 from the jetta. Long story short, gobs of money and time later. It smokes Hondas, toyotas, and the occasional ford and chevy. It's the ultimate sleeper.

It's a great story but where is the smoker/cooker in this?
