Anyone know what kind of smoker this is?

Post by Elmacho » July 12th, 2015, 9:04 pm

I saw one of these being pulled behind a truck today coming down the interstate and wondered if anyone has information. I drew this up based on a picture I took. I would love to find more info on any plans or dimensions around building one, It looked very simple to build. But didn't get a chance to get the guy to stop to open the cooking chamber and see how the inside was laid out.

Of course without seeing the guts of the inside, you may never know what makes it tick but...Gizmo built a small trailer smoker with a back end firebox last year that easily has the similar lines that you show here...look up his build known internationally as "Egor"

Make no mistake, there ain't no powder in this Puff ! And... I'm not really a crazy person but I play one in real life

My guess is ...of course not seeing the insides of it… Would be a center feed possibly reverse flow smoker

If you can't fix it by sheer force or cursing......then it can't be fixed.....

I agree w/ DC. Or it cudve been a roto. But appears a lil tight at the top for a roto if it had the shelves and not a single spig. But if it was a roto you shud be able to see the shaft/housing from the outside.

Looks like a trapezoid smoker/grill. Very similar to one that I built last year.
