Concrete spots

Post by Gizmo » May 27th, 2012, 7:40 am

2 pieces of 14 gauge strap with centered notches....
Image

Drop them together...
Image

Put the charcoal chimney on them to hold it up off the concrete....
Image

I got tired of leaving a dark spot on the driveway or comp parking lot every time I lit a chimney....
Image

And when it cools back down slide it apart and throw it inside the chimney so you don't lose it - course I'll prolly put it in my back pocket and spend an hour looking for it ... :D

And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy. :D

Nice idear....

A few years ago I was cooking for a block party and set the chimney on the curb of the street. Then forgot I had it lit.

OMG ... let me tell ya.... I had folks running when the concrete sploded.

Course I knew what it was as soon as I heard it, but the rest of the folks though we had been shot at. Not to mention the chunks of concrete that flew thru the air.

Be sure you take them out of your pocket before you sit on them leather seats. ;)

Dont ask how I know that one. :hissy:

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.

Tom, we did a similar thing years ago, we were having a barbie at a mates joint, and it started to rain, now his version of a barbie was 4 bricks on end and a steel plate on top!, so there we are in his garage with a sheet of corrigated iron on the the floor with the fire and his bushwacker barbie on top, well you know what happened!..it took us an hour to collect up all the burning wood particals!! =)) .

sorry Rick good idea mate! :kewl:

I use a flat cast iron griddle skillet under my charcoal chimney, no marks on the drive
