Well...it's official!!

I just purchased my first welder and it will be delivered on Saturday. I bought the Hobart handler 500554 190 with spoolrunner. It seemed like a little more of a machine than I needed for my trailer build but after reading through a number of posts and talking to friends and family, it seemed like the right choice as I will be able to "grow" into it. Additionally, amazon had a decent deal on the package of the welder/spoolrunner which seems like the way to go if you are going to weld aluminum (which I am going to try as I would like to eventually fabricate a hard top for our fishing boat). Looking forward to starting on my smoker build now!

abynorml, I think you did fine, you can always turn a more powerfull machine down. But not the other way around. :welder:
