Welding Book recommendation

Greetings all,

I was curious if you could recommend a basic welding book for a newbie.. I bought a cheap 125A flux wire welder to practice and to use on my UDS I’m working on. I do plan on upgrading in the future but since I need to build up my metal work tool inventory, lt will do for now.

YouTube is your friend... well not your friend exactly, but a useful resource. Search for Flux Core welding or FCAW. However, first prize would be finding a retired welder that might want to take on a student ... alternativly your community college might offer beginner welding courses. It is difficult learning welding from a book as it is hard to visualise what the puddle should look like from a book.
Get yourself a whole bunch of scrap metal and practice, practice, practice. Pad beads until you are sick of padding beads, then pad some more.

I've been all over YouTube. That is always my first go to. I travel quite a bit, so i'm always looking for something to read.
