7" angle grinder 13amp or 15amp

Post by Bart » January 3rd, 2014, 12:10 pm

Let the smoke out :explode2: of my 20 year old dewalt 4.5" angle grinder the other day. Looking at buying a 7" grinder and debating about spending the extra money for a 15amp grinder or saving a few bucks and going with the 13amp grinder. Lowes has pretty good deal on a 7" 13amp that comes with five grinding wheels for $129.00. I'm very tempted but concerned that the 13amp may be a little weak.

Any opinions on this grinder or 13amp verses 15amp?

Had mine for about 2 years. Still working well. Got it on a clearance table at Lowes really cheap otherwise I would have opted for larger one. Had good luck with Dewalt grinders though.fwiw
