Source for Hickory?

Post by llbaker2 » August 16th, 2018, 10:34 am

I would like to find a local source (south central Missouri) for hickory. Would like to buy a face cord. Would be nice if source was within 100 miles of Rolla Missouri. Can get oak or mixed hardwood all day long but having trouble finding just hickory at a reasonable price. Prefer to do my own hauling. Any leads would be much appreciated.

That's a question that Frank could possibly help you with, you may want to PM him so that he'll see it. He stays pretty busy so he doesn't always see every post.

A quick google search pulls up 3-4 places around Kansas City. Might be a bit farther than you want but you could always make a day out of it and stop for some bbq while you are there.

I stated that Im in south central Missouri. Im just north of Rolla. Not willing to drive to KC or St Louis. Shouldn't be a need for that. Lots of hickory in this area. Want a local source (within 50 miles or so). Not interested in mixed hardwoods or oak. That I can find no problem. I want hickory and hickory only.

So, to be clear, you want hickory.

You want it delivered, right?

Sorry....couldn’t help myself.

Nope I think he prefers to do his own hauling.
